Prepare
Preparing for your assessment
When you are preparing for your assessment, you should get all of the relevant documents together to provide the assessor, as well as take notes of any tasks you struggle with or have concerns about.
Doing this before your assessment means you won't be trying to remember things you struggle with on the fly.
You should also think about whether you need any services to help you understand the assessor during your face to face assessment, such as a translator or interpreter.
Having a family member, carer, or close friend at your assessment as a support person can be really beneficial. They can help you remember tasks you have difficulty with or give an outside perspective on what things you struggle with.
