The Victorian Disability Worker Commission (VDWC) regulates all disability workers in Victoria. The Commission takes complaints from anyone in the community about disability worker conduct or service quality. Complaints can be made about any disability worker, regardless of how they are funded. This includes NDIS workers, those outside NDIS, disability workers in schools, health and aged care settings. The Commission also receives mandatory notifications from employers and workers about misconduct.
The Commission also carries out voluntary disability worker registration, which enables disability workers to demonstrate they meet standards of skill and experience, creating a safer, stronger disability sector in Victoria.
