This is normally provided on a fortnightly basis. Tasks in the home focus on areas of the house that are used regularly.
Personal care
Stirling Community Care provides a personal care service that is individually tailored for people requiring support with everyday tasks. A trained support worker will help the customer stay in his or her own home and maintain physical independence by assisting with tasks such as:
Meal preparation
Trained support workers can assist with preparation of light meals, soup, sandwiches or chop food ready for cooking. Meals can be refrigerated ready for heating or added to the freezer for reheating at a later time.
Home delivered meals
Volunteers deliver two course meals daily providing an opportunity to check on the customer's wellbeing and seek assistance if needed. The meals are cooked daily in our purpose-built kitchen. Meals can be heated in the microwave or conventional oven for either lunch or dinner. Food intolerances and allergies can be accommodated if supported by a medical certificate or confirmation doctor’s letter.
Respite
Stirling Community Care operates a respite service for customers which provides an opportunity for carers to have a break or attend to their own needs. Trained support workers offer companionship and short term assistance with a range of personal care and daily living tasks.
