When you are no longer able to manage at home without assistance, an aged care assessment can help you, and your carer, determine what kind of care will best suit your needs.
To access Government funded care or services you will need to be assessed either by the Regional Assessment Service (RAS) to find out if you’re eligible for support through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), or have an Aged Care Assessment Team/Service (ACAT/S) visit you to determine whether a Home Care Package or Residential Aged Care best suits your needs.
