Banksia Lodge is one of two facilities part of Prom Country Aged Care Incorporated where our philosophy is:
To provide the quality of service where the people within our care live their lives to their fullest potential - in a place that they are pleased to call home.
Banksia Lodge is a 30 bed low care facility located in the quiet town of Foster; gateway to some of the most beautiful Gippsland natural attractions and one hour from Wilson’s Promontory National Park. Banksia Lodge residents experience a home-like environment and quality care through our professional and dedicated staff.
Our residents receive professional care 24 hours a day with continuous monitoring of health and comfort. Residents are able to select the doctor of their choice and also have ready access to Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Hairdresser, pharmaceutical services and other rehabilitation services as required.
All resident’s have their own rooms which include ensuite. Each room opens out either into a courtyard or into a private garden, often maintained by the residents themselves. Residents have their meals together in the large dining room and can relax and socialise together in the lounge room which has a flat screen television, DVD player, radio and a piano. Our five pet budgerigars also add a home-like aspect to the building.
Residents are able to participate in regular activities run by staff, some of which include bowling tournaments with other facilities, arts and crafts, and bingo and beauty sessions. Residents also regularly visit their friends at the Prom View Lodge facility and go out for trips into town for coffee and shopping.
